A strategy of using temporary space-holders to increase the capacity for Li S batteries

چکیده

The porous structure within the cathode material influences capacity and operating performance of LiS batteries. Here, we prepared special carbon using sodium chloride as template/temporary space-holders to design mixture micro−/meso−/macroporous with large surface area through a facile water bath freeze-drying process. Such modification led high sulfur content 73.2% remarkable initial 1378 mAh g−1 at 0.1 A g−1, maintains 48.6% after 100 cycles. Moreover, battery displayed superior rate capability 807 1.0 g−1. This abundant micro−/meso−/macropores can improve sulfur, relieve loss exhibit cycling capability.
